THC
Tetrahydrocannabinol, otherwise known as THC, is the most prevalent cannabinoid found in cannabis. When consumed, it produces psychoactive effects and gives the user the feeling of a high. Usually, the higher the THC percentage, the stronger the effects will be.
CBD
Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD is the second most prevalent cannabinoid that is found in cannabis. Unlike THC, CBD does not cause psychoactive effects and therefore does not produce a high. The most common use for CBD is for pain relief.
CBN
Cannabinol, or CBN, is essentially a weaker version of THC. It forms after THC has been degraded and can produce a mild high if taken in large enough doses. This cannabinoid has comparatively been studied and researched much less than other cannabinoids.
CBG
Cannabigerol otherwise called CBG is considered to be a minor cannabinoid because it is only found in trace amounts in the majority of strains. It does not create psychoactive effects and therefore does not produce a high or intoxication. CBG is the first form of cannabinoid that the plant develops which means that both CBD and THC develop from CBG.
THCa
Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid, better known as THCa, is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid in its plain form. However, when it is heated, THCa converts into THC which then produces a high for the user.
